Emma has been working as a graphic designer for almost 20 years. It was always her dream job, and she is passionate about creating inspiring designs across a wide range of projects.
She mainly works on print design campaigns but can also quickly turn her hand to a variety of digital design tasks as well.
She joined JE Consulting in 2022, having previously worked in-house for local government, and has become a well-loved member of our team.
What is your favourite food?
Steak (got to be blue).
What is your favourite destination?
Northumberland.
What are your interests outside of work?
I really love my job, so that merges with my interests outside the office. I also enjoy history, true crime, fiction and non-fiction books.
I have also recently started learning about brutalist architecture and, of course, love films, especially horror.
Who do you admire most, and why?
That would have to be my Graphic Design tutor, Jo, from my college days. She really helped me at the start of my career and had a real belief in my abilities. I owe her a lot.
If you could have one wish, what would it be?
Every time I put my hand in my pocket, I find a tenner.
Who would you most like to have dinner with?
That would definitely have to be my favourite author, Poppy Z Brite.
Thought of the month
“One of the key things in any design is to understand your audience and create a balanced hierarchy.
“Often, the best design practice is to keep it simple. By doing less, you can create a bigger impact compared to over-complicated designs. Think about some of the most successful ad campaigns – they are effortless.”
