We have been shortlisted for a Midlands Marketing Award after helping a family-run care provider use AI search, digital strategy and storytelling to compete with some of the biggest names in the sector.
We have been named as a finalist in the Best Localised Campaign of the Year category at this year’s Midlands Marketing Awards for our work with fellow Sutton Coldfield business, Nexus Care Services.
The judges recognised a campaign that combined PR, digital advertising, SEO and the emerging discipline of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) to dramatically raise the profile of the home care provider across Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield, Shenstone and Tamworth.
Rather than relying on traditional advertising, the campaign centred on authentic storytelling through the “Every Moment Matters” content series, highlighting the everyday acts of care that make a meaningful difference to clients and their families.
Alongside this, we developed an AI-search strategy that has helped position Nexus among the businesses leading the way in how organisations optimise their online presence for both search engines and generative AI platforms.
The results have included sustained growth in website traffic, stronger social media engagement, increased brand awareness, multiple industry awards and recognition as Royal Sutton Coldfield Business of the Year 2026.
Tinga Umera, Managing Director of Nexus Care Services, said: “The growth we’ve experienced year after year is a testament to JE Consulting’s expertise. Our website traffic, social media engagement, brand awareness and PR campaigns have all seen impressive increases.
“They’ve become an extension of our team, helping us stand out in a highly competitive market while never losing sight of what makes Nexus different.”
Jo Edwards, our Senior Director at JE Consulting, said the nomination demonstrated what could be achieved when two local businesses worked together with a clear strategy.
She said: “This partnership proves that local businesses can compete with and beat, much larger national organisations when they combine great storytelling with innovative marketing.
“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved with Nexus over the past few years, particularly as AI continues to change the way people search for services.
“It’s fantastic to see the work of our team recognised by the Midlands Marketing Awards’ judges.”
The winners will be announced at the Midlands Marketing Awards ceremony on 24 September at The Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.
